Sports & Entertainment Assistant Project Manager, Overnights

Please note: this position will require the selected candidate to work events and post events as needed.  This will include weekends and holidays.

An ABM Assistant Project Manager for the Sports & Entertainment Vertical Market is responsible for the operational of his/her project.   This person leads a diverse team of janitorial staff, engages in regular client interaction, ensures quality services are provided at the site in alignment with contractual agreements.

Pay: $65,000 - $70,000

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

  • Understanding of the service industry practices, process and trends.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years’ experience in management or supervisor role
  • Proven experience in leading a janitorial team, with a strong preference for experience in sports and/or entertainment venues.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS and ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Project Management & Client Relations: 

  • Lead the team and follow plan put in place by Management, per contractual agreement.
  • Develop and maintain close relationship with customers; meet with customers to conduct inspections, discuss special needs.
  • Respond to customer inquiries; discuss and resolve with customer pending complaints/feedback.
  • Regular contact with customer to ensure that services meet service contract requirements.
  • Inform management and leadership of status of work; identify potential issues and recommend appropriate action.
  • Excellent customer service skills to ensure customer retention, enhance service delivery and sell services.

Employee Relations and Supervision:

  • Works closely with frontline personnel to meet customer requirements; determines training requirements and identifies sources meet training and development needs.
  • Work with management on training and evaluating staff. 
  • Understand applicable union contracts.
  • Ensure project and task completion, at times completing the tasks on own.
